Why this exists

I believe every woman should understand money well enough that she never has to depend on anyone — not a partner, not a parent, not a system that wasn’t built with her in mind. Financial independence was never really about getting rich. It’s about having choices: the freedom to build your life on your own terms, with your own money behind you. That belief is the entire reason Investment Babe is here.

Who’s behind it

Hi — I’m Penny.

I’m not a financial advisor, and I’ll never pretend to be. No letters after my name. What I have is years of doing the work: back in 2020 I went deep on personal finance and investing, read everything I could get my hands on, and slowly turned confusion into a system I could actually use. The more I learned, the more I noticed how few of the women around me had ever been shown any of it — not because they couldn’t grasp it (they’re brilliant), but because nobody ever offered.

So I started offering. For years now I’ve talked openly about investing with my girlfriends — the exact conversations we were taught to avoid. When a friend reaches a turning point and needs to understand her own finances, I’m the one she calls. And instead of one more toy, I put money into the investment accounts of the kids in my life for birthdays and holidays — and I talk to the girls especially about saving and investing early, because I never want them starting as far behind as we did.

Investment Babe is that same energy, scaled up: the friend who actually explains the thing, hands you the worksheet, and reminds you that you’re far more capable than anyone let you believe.
